Reaching Dresden

DRESDEN AIRPORT

The Airport Dresden can be reached easily from all over the world because it has frequent flight connections to the big German hubs in

  • Frankfurt am Main,
  • Munich,
  • Dusseldorf.

You can take a local train (S-Bahn) from the airport to Dresden Main Station (Hauptbahnhof).

BERLIN AIRPORTS

If you are arriving at one of the Berlin airports (Tegel or Schönefeld), you can use the local transport to reach the long distance trains from Berlin Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Dresden Main Station (Hauptbahnhof). The direct trains (Intercity) need approx. 2:10 hrs from main station to main station. Alternatively, you can use the ICE (Intercity Express) trains. In this case, you have to go via Leipzig and change the ICE there.

FROM DRESDEN MAIN STATION TO THE UNIVERSITY GUEST HOTEL

Leave the Dresden Main Station via the main entrance (at the cupola hall). You have to cross the big street (both lanes) in front of the entrance at the left end of the barriers. There (under the left railway bridge, opposite to the front of the station) you will find the bus stop of the line 66 with destinations Lockwitz/Nickern. Leave this bus at the fourth stop (Caspar-David-Friedrich-Straße). Then walk approx. 200 m back in the direction where you came from. There you will reach the Guest Hotel.
